Chelsea have just beaten Manchester City in the FA Cup semi final, and Thomas Tuchel deserves a huge amount of credit.
Not long before he arrived we were totally outclasses by City in the league, but today we looked more than a match for them, and we got a deserved win.
Usually modest, even Tuchel didn’t want to play down the importance of the victory: “we beat the best team in Europe,” he put it plainly. They weren’t at it today, but it’s hard to argue with that assessment over the course of the season.
