Pep Guardiola: Frank Lampard ‘did an incredible job’, but I knew Tuchel ‘would do a good job”

Chelsea face off against Manchester City once again tomorrow, this time for a place in the FA Cup final.

There have been many big matches between the two sides in recent years, and City boss Pep Guardiola has seen many of them.

A few would have been against former Blues boss and club legend Frank Lampard, who was sacked in January.

Not Guardiola is getting set to face a Thomas Tuchel-lead Chelsea tomorrow, and it will be a different experience for him altogether.

The former Barcelona manager was speaking to the media ahead of the game this afternoon, and he was full of praise for Lampard.

But as you would have read at the bottom of that tweet from Nizaar Kinsella, Pep is also a big admirer of Tuchel, and he had many pleasantries to say about the German boss as well.

As reported by Football365, Guardiola said:

“After he went to Dortmund, the way he wants to play is so quick. It is tough to take over a team during the season.

“But he has a lot of experience being at a top club like PSG and now Chelsea. I knew from the beginning that he would do a good job.”
