N’Golo Kante always saves his best performances for the big occasions, and this week was no different.
The midfielder was superb in the Champions League semi final against Real Madrid in Spain, so good in fact that he was given the competition’s weekly award as the best player of the round.
Kant ran the show, both in attack and defence, covering every blade of grass and doing all he could to win Chelsea the game
He was up against serious competition too, with Neymar and Kevin de Bruyne impressing in the PSG-Man City semi final.

The question now is how we get a similar performance from Kante in the second leg, coming up on Wednesday.
Ideally we would rest him for tomorrow’s game against Fulham, but the injury to Mateo Kovacic makes that difficult. Kante and Jorginho are both likely to be called upon at some stage, but surely we won’t see both play 90 minutes each.
Could this be the big chance Billy Gilmour has been waiting for?
well deserved army of one
He is one of my best midfielder
