Jorginho the pick of Chelsea’s team in a low-quality performance

It was a night where there was a huge amount of action off the pitch, but Chelsea did play a game, and as strange as it seems, it did count, and points were handed out.

The Blues only got one after a 0-0 draw with Brighton, and they were pretty dire throughout the game.

Thomas Tuchel made serious changes from the weekend’s win over Manchester City and the team just didn’t play to the same level.

Ben White was Sky Sports’ Man of the Match – before he was sent off for a second yellow, but WhoScored went for Chelsea midfielder Jorginho. He’s had a great run in the team recently, and while the bar was particularly low today,  he did have his moments.

He was guilty of giving the ball away in a crucial spot once, and Brighton almost made the most of it – but apart from that he did his best to hold down the midfield on his own defensively as well as moving the ball forward against an organised Seagulls team.
