Fresh details emerge of Kepa and Rudiger’s falling out

Easter Sunday certainly wasn’t the quiet celebrations that it was for many people around the world at Chelsea’s training ground.

There certainly weren’t Easter egg exchanges and festivities at Cobham, that’s for sure.

The Telegraph reported that Antonio Rudiger was sent in early from training after failing to calm down from an altercation with goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga after the pair went in for the same ball.

Pushing ensued and Rudiger’s session was over. It’s worth noting they have since apologised, and the report also mentions a disagreement after the West Brom defeat between Reece James and Cesar Azpilicueta. Again, apologies were made and this has been swept under the rug.

However, The Athletic provided some further details on the incident, and claimed that the feud could have started during the West Brom game, with Kepa exchanging some heated words with Rudiger whilst both were on the bench.

Let’s hope that everything has been put behind them now and the focus is on Wednesday.
