“He has had enough of the Mourinho way” – Former Blue thinks Chelsea can sign Harry Kane

Chelsea are on the hunt for a new striker this summer, that is not really news anymore.

However, there seems to be new names being linked with the club every day, and although Chelsea have not been directly linked as a club interested in signing Harry Kane this summer yet, there are a few pundits and former players advocating for the move.

As we know, The Athletic reported that Kane will leave Tottenham this summer if they fail to get Champions League football.

Then Walter Samuel wrote his Daily Mail article suggesting that ‘it makes sense’ for Chelsea to sign Kane.

Now, former Chelsea player Alan Hudson has had his say on the matter, and he thinks Chelsea should and can sign the England international striker this summer, and they should be targeting him ahead of other targets, especially Sergio Aguero.

Hudson was speaking to Caught Offside about the matter.

“I see Aguero as having had the best time of his life, and, with his injury problems, I think it’s really not worth the risk for Chelsea.

“Whereas Kane needs new challenge as he knows Spurs are going nowhere. After the defeat to Manchester United, he would have realised he has to leave, no matter how much he loves the club.

“He looked like he has had enough of the Mourinho way of playing.

“Havertz is going to be Chelsea’s new star. Although they didn’t need an out and out striker against Palace, they won’t play them every week.

“They most certainly need a 25-goal-a-season man like Kane or Haaland. If you had that player it takes the pressure off the others, and Havertz, Pulisic and Mount can concentrate on creating chances.”
