There are just certain names that are continued to be linked with making a move to Chelsea, and some of them often just faze out.
But the Declan Rice links have a different kind of feeling, almost like it is destiny for him to one day return to the club he played at as a kid and come back and prove everyone wrong.

The West Ham midfielder has most certainly been considered as an option for Chelsea to sign in recent transfer windows, but that always appeared to be driven more by Frank Lampard than anything else.
However, for those Chelsea fans wanting to bring Rice back, the dream is still alive.
Reliable Journalist Julien Laurens has been speaking on The Byline Podcast, and he believes that Rice is ‘probably ahead’ of other targets in that area such as Aurelien Tchouaméni from Monaco on their shortlist.
He describes that as being ‘normal.’
