In a story that is ever developing throughout the day and will continue to do so, the implications of Chelsea joining the European Super League are becoming more clear.
Although nothing has become official so far, and a lot of this feels like threats from both sides and a bit political, Chelsea are now in danger of not being allowed to continue playing in the Champions League THIS season.

This is because UEFA are now seeking legal advice to ban any club entering in to the Super League from playing in any of their competitions, including this seasons Champions League and Europa League.

This would be absolute madness for any clubs involved, as well as the fact that they might not be allowed to play in the World Cup or the Euros for their countries.
BREAKING: UEFA’s Alexander Ceferin confirms: “The players that will play in the Super League will be banned from playing in the World Cup and Euros. Ceferin. They will not be allowed play for their national teams”.

As I said, it feels like school yard threats, and let’s hope it is just that.
