Chelsea Supporters’ Trust call for two board members to leave the club

Things really came to a head in the plans to launch the European Super League last night.

After Chelsea confirmed they would be one of the 12 clubs entering the new breakaway competition, the fan backlash began, and it was one of the best and loudest reactions I’ve ever witnessed.

Fans were in their thousands at Stamford Bridge last night to voice their discontent, and they also made their voices heard on social media in abundance.

The club listened and pretty much immediately started the process of leaving the league, and announced it officially in the early hours of the morning.

But things are not ending there, fans feel let down and are now calling for Chairman Bruce Buck to leave the club, alongside Chief Executive Guy Laurence, who fans believe were the driving force behind this move.

The Chelsea Supporters’ Trust released an official statement earlier in the day today claiming that both Buck and Lawrence’s positions now seem untenable moving forward.

Your move Chelsea…
