Chelsea look to established central midfielder to take them to the next level

We love when Chelsea are linked with a new name in the transfer market, and we especially love it when it’s a name as fun as “Ryan Gravenberch”.

The midfielder has established himself as a key player for Ajax in the seasons since the departure of the stars that took them to the Champions League semi final, and it seems only a matter of time before a European power swoop for him too.

SportWitness have cited an article in the Gazzetta which is focused on the clash between Roma and Ajax in the Champions League, and in there Chelsea are named as one of the teams that will be keeping an eye on Gravenberch in the game.

The heavy defeat to West Brom at the weekend has served to remind everyone that Chelsea can look a little fragile, especially in central midfield.

The Blues have their own European tie to worry about, but hopefully Thursday night will provide a good opportunity to watch the talent in action on a bigger stage than the Eredivisie.
