I’ve just read a story that immediately made me revert to a Podcast episode I listened to a couple of months back now.

One of the names he mentioned more than once? Jerome Boateng of Bayern Munich.
There is no agreement between Chelsea and Jerome Boateng for the summer at the moment. But he IS on the list of targets Chelsea are looking at.

It won't be easy, he has a €120m release clause.

Why is this relevant now? Well, Bayern’s sporting director has just confirmed that Boateng WILL become a free agent at the end of this season when his contract is up, and there will be no renewal, as reported by The Daily Mail.
The German international has vast experience and quality, but surely he is not the type of profile that Chelsea will be looking to recruit this summer?
But due to the reliable source of the information stating our interest, it is hard to ignore and we must keep an eye on this situation for sure.
