Premier League interest Tammy Abraham is no surprise

Tammy Abraham is a man with a lot to think about.

He’s not playing a lot under Thomas Tuchel, and this weekend he wasn’t even in the squad against Manchester United. The idea that Kai Havertz is on the bench as a striking option ahead of him will be a serious concern.

He’s also got a developing contract situation, with Premier League clubs like Leicester, West Ham and Southampton linked by Matt Law in today’s Telegraph.

It should be no surprise that there’s so much interest. While he might not have convinced the world he’s Champions League quality just yet, he’s been prolific for Chelsea and has certainly shown he’s at least a top half of the Premier League player.

Still just 23, and physically looking better than ever, it would seem mad to let him go now.

But if he wants a big raise, and Tuchel isn’t convinced by him, it might be the only solution.
