“It’s now time to play good” vows Kai Havertz after off pitch struggles

Chelsea’s big new attacking signing this summer arrived at the club and was greeted by real excitement from the fans, they believed they had signed a real star in the making.

But for Kai Havertz, his arrival in England stuttered a little and he took some time to settle in to a new country in a new league, naturally.

I also have some significant exclusive news on Chelsea’s pursuits of Erling Haaland and Gianluigi Donnarumma here.

He struggled to shake off the after affects of Covid-19, and he also had a couple of niggling injuries to contend with.

But in these last couple of matches, the German international has really started to show what he can do, and he’s looked a player full of confidence and quality.

Blues fans have stayed patient with Havertz, fully knowing the quality he has. But Havertz himself vows that ‘it’s now time to play good’ in his latest quotes, as reported by The Daily Mirror.

“Corona is now over, I feel good,” said Havertz.

“I had a little injury in the past few weeks, but it’s now time to play good.

“I have to improve my game. It’s not been easy for me, but there are no excuses.

“I just have to keep on working and hopefully there will be a big turnaround soon, but I will give it my best.

“For me it has been difficult to change everything,” he said. “It’s hard for me, but I’m six months here and getting used to the place, to the country.

“I hope that I will see my family soon. It’s tough for me, I’ve always loved spending time with them.

“It has not been the right time to spend some time with them. But it’s not only me, there are thousands of other people in an even worse situation than me.

“It isn’t an excuse for me. I will give my best.”
