“I haven’t heard from Tuchel” – Fikayo Tomori focused on success in Italy with Man U up next

Our friends at SempreMilan have been invaluable since Fikayo Tomori moved to the Rossoneri,

They’ve been on hard to translate all of the quotes and interviews with him, and today’s feature is an extended one.

The whole interview is very sweet, and it’s great to hear the defender is settling in nicely at Milan. But the most interesting part was a reference to Chelsea, and whether he was still in contact with the lads who he has grown up with at Stamford Bridge.

The full question and answer is featured here:

Have you talked to your team-mates at Chelsea and about the experience with manager Tuchel?

“Obviously I often talk to old team-mates because they were not only great team-mates but also friends. We don’t always talk about football but also about other things. They are very happy and are satisfied. They are scoring and winning so they are fine. I have not heard from Tuchel. but right now he has to concentrate on Chelsea just as I am focused on Milan.”

It’s a diplomatic answer, but one that shows a lot of heart and affection for his mates as well as his historic new team.

We wouldn’t worry about the fact that he hasn’t heard from Thomas Tuchel just yet. The man is pretty busy engineering Chelsea’s title run, give him a chance.

Tomori’s AC Milan team take on Manchester United tomorrow night in the Europa League, and you can bet your bottom dollar we’ll be tuning in to watch
