Chelsea have been interested in a top goalkeeper for a very long time.
Once it was clear that Thibaut Courtois wanted to leave we thought that man was Kepa Arrizabalaga, and while Edouard Mendy has taken the shirt this season, there’s a sense that he’s not seen as the long term solution.
One of the players we’ve always considered a target is Gigi Donnarumma from AC Milan. There have been links for years, but now the Italy keeper is nearing the end of his deal they’re getting serious.
#Chelsea and #PSG have shown interest to sign Gigio #Donnarumma as a free agent, but #ACMilan working to extend his contract (expires in June). #Raiola asks €10M/year as a new salary and a short renew (1 or 2 years). #Maldini offered 5-years contract (€7,5M/year) without clause

PSG have also been linked to the stopper, but we should have the financial edge on them given FFP regulations.
Nico Schira says he wants €10m a year, and Milan are only offering 7.5, If we can stump up the money to beat that offer, we could well find ourselves with the world class stopper we need.
Make it happen, Marina.
