Chelsea make Billy Gilmour decision that sadly sums up situation

Chelsea midfielder Billy Gilmour has continued to show the amount of raw talent that he possess whenever he is called upon, but unfortunately that is nowhere near enough.

Even under Frank Lampard, Gilmour’s game time was limited, and now under Thomas Tuchel he is not even getting in the squad.

We also just sat down with Tony Mount, the Father of Mason, who provided us with some great insights and opinions here.

He has Mateo Kovacic, N’Golo Kante, and Jorginho all ahead of him in the pecking order, and he should have been loaned out in January.

To prove this point even more, Gilmour will play for the Chelsea U23 team this evening against Leicester City, according to Football London.

And that just about sums up this situation entirely. Gilmour is FAR too good for that level of football and he walks into most midfields in the Premier League, there is even a valid argument that he should be starting in Chelsea’s pivot because he offers both good defensive and technical attributes and is the best all-rounder in there.

  1. Billy Gilmour is the best midfield player Chelsea have, he rarely misses a pass.. and looks to go forward!!! For god’s sake, not backwards or sideways like the others!!!!
