“It’s always him” – Kante masterclass gets to Bruno Fernandes

Bruno Fernandes played 90 minutes for Manchester United yesterday, although you may not have noticed him until after the final whistle when the TV cameras picked him out trudging off the pitch muttering bitterly.

We can’t know exactly what he was saying, but it was a look of pure frustration after a game where he was kept quiet throughout by N’Golo Kante.

The France star nicked the ball every time it came to Bruno, leading to an explosion of frustration midway through the game that journalist Paul Brown picked up on:

Apparently, after having the ball nicked off his toes once again, Bruno exclaimed to the referee “it’s always HIM,” pointing at Kante.

Kante ended up with 7 tackles and 4 interceptions, and Bruno ended up with a face like a smacked arse. Unfortunately for Chelsea, that didn’t mean three points for the Blues, but there can be no questioning that their French midfielder did his bit.
