It’s Champions League week, which means we get a little taste of training action captured on camera.
It’s always fun to try and spin a bit of a story out of the snippets you get to see in these open sessions, but this week the story hits you straight on.
Thiago Silva, expected to recover from an injury he picked up against Tottenham in time to play Atletico Madrid tomorrow, did not appear to be in training.
Of course we’re not ruling anything out – maybe he’s taking a day off ahead of the game. Maybe it’s all a trick from Thomas Tuchel. But we’re certainly a lot less confident of Silva playing than we were a few hours ago.
