Chelsea couldn’t beat Southampton this afternoon despite dominating, and after the game Thomas Tuchel was very clear on what had gone wrong.
“80 metres I’m very happy… the last 20 metres were not good enough,” the German coach explained.
“It’s as easy as that.”
It makes sense. Apart from the one mistake the back 3 made which allowed the home team to score, Chelsea dominated the match in most of the pitch, and just lacked the final ball to make their dominance count.
