Kante is happy at Chelsea as things stand.
However, the report suggests he could soon become unhappy and his future is in doubt due to the fact that Thomas Tuchel rates his possession-based midfielders Jorginho and Mateo Kovacic, and so far his team selections have mirrored this.
Kante is a slightly different type of midfielder to these two and brings different aspects to his game, but his recent injury troubles resulted in Chelsea considering an approach from Inter for him this summer.
Luckily, Frank Lampard blocked that approach and that was the end of it.
Tuchel has described Kante as world-class, so you would be hard pressed to think he would allow Kante to leave the club. But the fact remains, if Kante isn’t an automatic starter for Tuchel, Chelsea could listen to offers once again.
