Havertz and Chilwell start – Predicted Chelsea Xl vs Atletico Madrid

It’s another big Champions League night for Chelsea this evening as Thomas Tuchel’s men take on a very strong Atletico Madrid side lead by Diego Simeone.

There is never an easy fixture in this competition, especially when you reach these knockout stages.

Chelsea are serious about signing Erling Haaland this summer and will ‘go all out for him’, find out more here.

The game is on neutral ground in Bucharest due to the pandemic, and of course no side will have supporters to help them.

Tuchel has a number of key decisions ahead of the match, and I feel we might see Andreas Christensen come back in at the heart of the defence, and Kai Havertz may finally get a chance to start in an advanced role.

Ben Chilwell has a case to start over Alonso after some poor showings from him.

Other than this I can’t see any major changes in formation, setup, or personnel, but there are some players we need a big performance from tonight after a disappointing couple of games.

Predicted Xl –

(3-4-2-1): Mendy, Azpilicueta, Christensen, Rudiger. Hudson-Odoi, Kante, Kovacic, Chilwell. Mount, Havertz. Werner.
