Dortmund’s “emergency sale list” gives Chelsea chance to land galactico

If he hadn’t already, Erling Haaland announcd himself as a potential all time great last nigth with another superb brace in the Champions League.

His double helped Dortmund to a first leg win over Sevilla, putting them in prime position to continue in Europe despite their poor league form.

The club – which he joined just over a year ago – are in major trouble beyond just their league position. This report from the BBC says their finances are critical because of the effects of the pandemic, and that they may be forced into selling some of their brightest stars.

That might include Haaland.

Chelsea will be keeping tabs on the situation, just like every other major club in football. We’re not convinced we’re at the front of the queue right now, but given what’s going on in the world, and how ruthless we’ve been in the market recently, we wouldn’t rule anything out.
