The centre back pursuit continues for Chelsea, well at least for the rumour mill.
Every day tends to bring another new story or an update regarding Chelsea’s chase to sign a new centre back this summer, and today brings a story of a name who has been mentioned quite a bit over the last week or so, which usually means it is wise to start taking notice.
Chelsea have colossal Inter Milan defender ‘high’ on their list of summer targets, read more here.
Niklas Sule from Bayern Munich really does appear to be a Chelsea target at the very least.
In fact according to AZ, a Munich-based publication, Chelsea have ‘made a request’ to sign the 6ft 5in Germany international defender.
They say that ‘anything can happen’ and there are several other clubs interested, but he could still sign a contract extension at Bayern Munich yet as well.
They also point out that it is more likely to be Jerome Boateng leaving the club this summer over Sule, who they will probably want to keep especially now David Alaba is definitely leaving.
