“We’ll see how January goes” – Frank Lampard hints at a potential Kepa move

Frank Lampard has been giving his press conference ahead of Chelsea’s FA Cup Third Round tie with Morecambe on Sunday, and given the team is likely to be heavily rotated, that meant plenty of questions about the fringes of his squad.

One of those players is Kepa Arrizabalaga, who has only made one start for Chelsea since Edouard Mendy arrived in the summer. Lampard was asked whether Kepa would be leaving in January, and while he didn’t really want to talk about the player’s future, he also didn’t really deny the club would try and shift their expensive flop.

“We’ll see how January goes,” the manager hinted in quotes picked up by Football.London.

It sounds like the club aren’t getting their hopes up too much – apart from possibly a loan move, it’s hard to see anyone making an offer they’d be interested in at this point.

But you can bet your bottom dollar that if any club offers anything close to what Chelsea want, they’ll be all ears.
