Frank Lampard has been under immense pressure in recent weeks – you could see it on his face as his team lost to Arsenal and Manchester City.
The clouds lifted a little this week after a win over Morecambe in the FA Cup, and the coach was asked today in his pre-match press conference about how he felt under all this pressure.
“It’s part of my job,” he replied coolly. “I’m feeling fine.”
He pointed to his previous experience as a player and how that’s prepared him for whatever the media want to throw at him. We’ve seen him slot penalties in Champions League finals – so we fully believe him.
You can see the manager speaking in the clip embedded here, with footage from Chelsea TV:
Lampard on current pressure as a manager:🗣
As always, answered it very well & mentions he understands the role of a Chelsea manager comes with pressure when things aren’t going well. He’s seen it many times as a player before, perfectly responded👏🔵
