Chelsea captain Cesar Azpilicueta got the opening goal for his team today, breaking the deadlock at an important moment just as his team began to get frustrated from missed chances.
Speaking to BT Sport after the game, Azpi was positive about the performance and his side’s prospects for the rest of the season. “Everyone is very ambitious,” he said, not ruling out winning any of the trophies the Blues are still in line for.
Let’s not get too excited – we only drew with Wolves at home a couple of days ago – but things are certainly looking up.
You can see the captain speaking in the clip embedded here:
"Not just the win, but the way we did it."
"Competition is healthy, we all have an opportunity."
Cesar Azpilicueta is a happy captain as a win over Burnley gave Thomas Tuchel his first win as Chelsea boss 🔵
