Tomori on the verge of 6 month move to AC Milan with purchase option confirmed

Fikayo Tomori’s exit is complete, with his move to AC Milan now just hours away from confirmation.

Tom Roddy is the latest journalist to hit us with an update, adding the detail that the move will be a 6 month loan only, with an option to buy.

It’s certainly plausible that Chelsea could extent the loan for a further year if Milan are reluctant to pay up this summer.

The Blues usually hate adding optional buy clauses in their deals, and one would imagine it’s set prohibitively high. There are question marks about how many minutes the youngster will get anyway, so unless things go really swimmingly a purchase this year still seems unlikely at this point.

There are many fans who are unhappy about the England international going, and we agree that he’s not had the chances he’s deserved since a bright start.

Let’s hope a move to Italy is what gets his career going again.
