24 hours ago Frank Lampard’s sacking had just been announced, and it was becoming clear that Thomas Tuchel was going to be joining him.
Christian Falk of Bild, who is a very well placed source usually, insisted this time yesterday that the former PSG manager was already on his way to the UK – but today he’s admitted that was a mistake.
An hour ago – at 1pm UK time, he admitted he was wrong yesterday – but updated his claim to say that Tuchel was actually flying at that moment.
Not true ❌ to me (sorry) TRUE ✅ Tuchel is flying at the Moment https://t.co/etKyGXY8c1

It sounds like he’s very close to arriving either way, and Sky Sports in the UK were even speculating about whether he might have a press conference tonight.
🗣 "It's possible Chelsea could set-up a press conference this evening, but I doubt it."

Getting him onto the touchline for the game against Wolves tomorrow is a different question, and certainly seems like it will be difficult at such short notice.
Either way, it seems like it’s a done deal just awaiting the formalities.
