Telegraph: Frank Lampard ‘determined’ to return to management

Chelsea confirmed the sacking of Frank Lampard yesterday after weeks of frustration, and in a way it was a relief.

It had a feeling of always being on the way, and I feel like the club have had this in their minds for some time. You can see it on the body language of Lampard and the players.

At least now the Chelsea legend can move on and get his career back on track, and Chelsea can move on and focus on climbing back up the league.

Lampard has always been a determined character, he doesn’t like being defeated and he will always succeed. He did it as a player at West Ham when the fans turned on him, and he did it at Chelsea against all his critics.

I firmly believe he will succeed as a manager – the Chelsea job just came too soon.

But as The Telegraph report this morning, they have been told by friends of Lampard that he is ‘determined’ to return to top-flight management very soon, although they believe he may take a break first.

Great to hear that!
