Report: John Terry and Brendan Rodgers 2 of 4 names being considered as Chelsea boss

Well, as fully expected after last night’s article from The Athletic claiming Frank Lampard’s job as Chelsea boss was under threat, in come the reports of potential new candidates being looked at the replace him.

Expect more speculation as the days go on, but the bottom line here is that Lampard is under immense pressure now as Chelsea manager, the most he’s had since he started the role.

A poor string of results is adding fuel to the fire, and one Journalist has named a four man shortlist that he claims the Chelsea board are discussing currently.

Pipe Sierra claims that Thomas Tuchel is plan A, but there has also been talk of Brendan Rodgers, John Terry and Rafa Benítez.

He believes an interim boss would be the priority.

Yeah, I’m personally not sure on a couple of those names being considered. Fans would riot if Benitez returned, and I can’t see another inexperienced Chelsea legend coming in. Will Rodgers really want to leave a successful team right now?

Meh, mere speculation at this point.
