Jose Mourinho warns Thomas Tuchel that Premier League will be tougher than PSG

Thomas Tuchel has only been in the Premier League a couple of days, but he’s already feeling the heat of Jose Mourinho, who made some interesting comments in Tottenham’s press conference last night.

CaughtOffside quoted The Metro, who noted that the former Chelsea boss had warned the new man that managing in the super competitive English top flight was going to be quite different to cruising to the title with PSG.

“You cannot compare the job at Paris Saint-Germain with a job in the Premier League,” Jose asserted.

“It’s not possible to compare,” he went on.

Mourinho didn’t particularly expand on this, but we all know what he means. In this league, a win against anyone is a feat worth celebrating. When you’re PSG manager, even winning the entire league is barely par for the course.

That’s not to say Tuchel won’t thrive here, but expectations are going to be totally different, as Jose knows all too well. The new boss will find he has his work cut out winning matches, let alone winning trophies.
