Many Blues fans have been concerned that they could be losing a player with a lot of potential if Milan do decide to use their option to buy.
However, Goal reporter Nizaar Kinsella believes that “it isn’t likely” that they will use the option, due to it being a lot of money in the current climate.
This is getting close. A bit of a risk to include an option to buy but it isn't likely that Milan will use it. https://t.co/QGXSOdQ6NL

This is true but better third choice than fifth at Chelsea.
Nathaniel Chalobah enjoyed his time at Napoli despite not being a regular starter.
Tomori would have to be very very good in Italy for the option to be exercised because £26m is a lot for Milan in the current climate. https://t.co/OqX8i1MdNR

It also appears unlikely that Tomori will be playing a lot of games for Milan, but he certainly has more of a chance of game time there right now than with Chelsea, having dropped way down the pecking order under Frank Lampard, oddly.
It is certainly an intriguing story that is far from it’s ending.
