“It isn’t likely” that Milan will use option to buy on imminent Fikayo Tomori loan deal

AC Milan are very close to sealing a deal to sign Chelsea centre back Fikayo Tomori, most sources are now in agreement on.

Fabrizio Romano reports that the loan deal will include an option to buy of 30 million euros, with Tomori to Milan expected to be confirmed this week.

Many Blues fans have been concerned that they could be losing a player with a lot of potential if Milan do decide to use their option to buy.

However, Goal reporter Nizaar Kinsella believes that “it isn’t likely” that they will use the option, due to it being a lot of money in the current climate.

It also appears unlikely that Tomori will be playing a lot of games for Milan, but he certainly has more of a chance of game time there right now than with Chelsea, having dropped way down the pecking order under Frank Lampard, oddly.

It is certainly an intriguing story that is far from it’s ending.
