Frank Lampard is taking his press conference ahead of Chelsea’s game with Morecambe on Sunday, and while the Blues boss wouldn’t discuss his actual starting XI, he did give updates on some of the first team players who were possible starters.
He confirmed reports of an injury to Andreas Christensen, who sounds like he’s definitely out for Sunday’s game, as well as confirming that Reece James will still be out with his ongoing issues.
The good news on James is that he’s apparently going to return to training tomorrow, hinting he will be ready for our next league game, at least.
Frank Lampard on team news: "Reece James is out, although he will train with us tomorrow. The same with Christensen and Kante is out with a minor hamstring and is suspended for Fulham anyway. They are out. The young players have been training with us." #CFC

To this though, he added another significant name: N’Golo Kante.
The good news is that Kante’s hamstring problem is apparently “minor”, and that he’s suspended for next week’s game against Fulham anyway. That gives the Frenchman plenty of time to recover, so that with any luck he won’t end up missing any games he was going to play in anyway.
Lampard I want you to start glimour against Fulham…please make sure you do that.
