Frank Lampard: Fikayo Tomori ‘absolutely has a long-term future’ at Chelsea

Chelsea boss Frank Lampard has just finished his lunchtime press conference ahead of Saturday’s Premier League match against Fulham.

Obviously with it being January there was some transfer talk, and Chelsea centre back Fikayo Tomori is one of those names looking likely to be heading to the Stamford Bridge exit door by the end of the month.

AC Milan look keen on loaning him, and Lampard didn’t deny any of those links today.

He did admit though, that regardless of what happens with Tomori this month, he ‘absolutely has a long-term future’ at Chelsea.

Lampard appears to still rate the 22-year old, which makes it very odd as to why he has dropped so far down the pecking order at the club.

The Blues boss did not give any clarification on this, but it does make you feel that there is more to this story than we know, perhaps something has gone on behind closed doors, who knows?
