Frank Lampard confirms one key player will miss Luton game

There’s no telling what kind of team Frank Lampard is planning to pick against Luton this weekend.

One the one hand, it’s an FA Cup game against lower league opposition. On the other hand, his job seems to be hanging in the balance at the moment, and a good performance – as well as a good result – would help him creep back from the precipice a little.

One player who was sorely missing against Leicester was N’Golo Kante, but he won’t be playing on Sunday.

On the club’s 5th stand app they exclusively reported a quote from Lampard admitting that Kante was still out, while Olivier Giroud would be back and ready to play.

We’d imagine the Frenchman will start up front after Tammy played this week, with plenty of youngsters thrown into the mix too.

It’s a shame Kante won’t be back, but at least it sounds we can feel confident he will be truly 100% when he’s back, and we can certainly win without him.
