Chelsea considering move to bring back 2012 Champions League hero

As we near the end of the January transfer window, attentions start to turn towards the summer when perhaps there could be more bigger movements.

Things have been pretty quiet across the board so far, which was naturally expected due to the ongoing pandemic affecting finances globally.

But Chelsea could have a few moves planned for the summer, and one in particular is being considered currently, according to Si Phillips Talks Chelsea.

The club are monitoring the situations of former players Ryan Bertrand and Patrick van Aanholt, who both have contracts running out this summer.

Bertrand of course was one of Chelsea’s hero’s of that famous Champions League win in 2012, and van Aanholt also spent 7 years at the club.

Chelsea look likely to lose both Marcos Alonso and Emerson Palmieri by the summer, so Chelsea are looking at one of the experienced pair as potential competition for Ben Chilwell.
