There are plenty of people who could take the blame for Chelsea’s defeat to Wolves – not least the players on the pitch, who offered desperately little at times.
But on ESPN they identified Frank Lampard as the man they held most responsible. The manager made some selections – and some substitutions – that left the pundits puzzled.
There were certainly mistakes made, but it seems harsh to single out the manager so ruthlessly when there were so many flaccid performances on the pitch.
Let’s see if the team can come out swinging on Monday night.
