Hakim Ziyech says he is taking inspiration from ‘world-class’ Eden Hazard

It is not unusual to see mutterings of comparisons between Chelsea legend Eden Hazard, and new signing Hakim Ziyech.

The pair both play out wide and can both be as impactful in a game of football.

Chelsea are in pole position to sign David Alaba, full story HERE.

However, they are quite different in terms of playing style, which is where the comparisons stop. Hazard is a direct player who can beat three players in one burst of pace, get into the penalty area and score a goal from nothing.

Whereas Ziyech is more a creative spark in terms of picking out that long range pass or cross and splitting a defence open that way.

Both are insane talents, and ideally Chelsea fans would love to see them both playing in the same Chelsea team, the pipe dream!

But Ziyech has been talking about Hazard and the fact they get mentioned in the same breathe, but the Moroccan international says he just prefers to take inspiration from ‘world-class’ Hazard.

As reported by The Telegraph, Ziyech said:

“Eden is a world-class player.

“You always take inspiration from that, how he plays the game and you always look at the small things, how he does stuff and I can learn a lot from him.”
