Frank Lampard is taking his pre-match press conference ahead of the Champions League game against Sevilla tomorrow, and he was in a pretty unique position for a manager this season.
Asked for an injury update on his squad, the Blues boss was able to announce his side are “fully fit”. With Kai Havertz, Billy Gilmour and Christian Pulisic now all back in training for some time, Lampard has a full complement of players to pick from.
Most managers can’t say that at the best of times, let alone in this chaotic season with matches crammed together week after week. It’s a sign that our rotation has been working well, and we now have a big edge over other teams competing with us in the Premier League.

The question will now be who he decides to pick tomorrow, given the team have already qualified for the next round. It’s a great chance to help the first XI rest, and to give young players and squad players some minutes.
