“Exceptional” Ruben Loftus-Cheek praised after dominating Liverpool

It was something of a surprise to see Ruben Loftus-Cheek go out on loan this season, especially after he had started the opening game for Chelsea.

So it was then even more bizarre to see him not selected for Fulham as they struggled to in the opening stages of the campaign.

They now look to have steadied the ship a little, and that has included getting RLC in the team. His manager Scott Parker has been speaking to West London Sport, and he hailed the midfielders impact, especially in Sunday’s game against Liverpool, which almost saw the Whites earn a deserved win:

“I thought Ruben was exceptional against Liverpool,” Parker said.

“In the first 45 minutes he was one of the best players on the pitch and he showed a real quality in him,” the Fulham boss continued.

“He’s not had a lot of games, so he’s getting back up to speed in how quickly the games come to have an impact.

“He’s now playing week in week out in the Premier League, and I see someone getting there.”

We are all still huge believers in Ruben’s talent, and anyone who actually watched that game against Jurgen Klopp’s team would struggle to argue he’s not got the potential to be a top tier players.

Week by week he’s looking better and better, and we can’t wait to see how he’s playing by the spring.
