Early team news: Academy starlet starts for Chelsea vs Krasnodar

We have some early team news ahead of Chelsea’s Champions League clash with Krasnodar this evening.

Not only is Billy Gilmour starting the match as Frank Lampard confirmed yesterday, another academy starlet Faustino Anjorin is also starting tonight, according to Matt Law of the Telegraph.

Chelsea are without Hakim Ziyech and Callum Hudson-Odoi through injuries, so it was always quite possible that an academy youngster would be drafted in the fill the gaps.

Not only is Anjorin filling a gap, he is starting the match tonight, and what a perfect game for him to play in.

Chelsea have already won the group so there is nothing to lose, and there will be no pressure on Anjorin to make an impression.

He can just go out there, relax, and just allow his childhood dreams to unfold. He will even have fans there to watch him, with 2,000 allowed inside the stadium again tonight.

Good luck, Tino!
