Chelsea pair return to training – but West Ham looks too soon for starts

Both Hakim Ziyech and Callum Hudson-Odoi are back in Chelsea training, Frank Lampard has just revealed in his press conference ahead of the West Ham game on Monday.

The Chelsea manager has stopped short of confirming that either player would be back in time for that game, but with a few days to get up to speed still remaining it seems very possible they could at least feature off the bench.

The return of Christian Pulisic from his own injury issues for the Everton game has reduced the need to risk this pair somewhat, and for one playing on Monday night seems a bonus as it gives the whole team another 48 hours rest.

We don’t expect Lampard to take any risks on Monday, and we’d be shocked to see either of this pair start. But with game after game coming up in the next few weeks it’s all very positive news regardless.
