Chelsea’s game at Wolves is 0-0 at half time, and one man has shone above all others.
The Blues started slowly but have grown into the game, with N’Golo Kante key to that improvement.
He’s been dominant in the middle of the park since the start, allowing his more creative midfield partners to get forward and start threatening in the opposition box.
If the attacking players can get on his level, we’ll walk away comfortable winners tonight – but we also must be cautious.
We can’t just rely on the France star to bail us out of trouble every time. Even Kante has his limits – although we’re not seeing them tonight.
On social media, there was a predictable wave of love and enthusiasm upon seeing the former Leicester man at his very best. Who doesn’t love Kante?
You can see a selection of the reaction from social media in the Tweets embedded here:
Kante is #CFC’s best player in the first half. Pulisic is the most dangerous. #WOLCHE

Pulisic and Kante on fire, the rest rather laboured and lacking intensity really. Havertz looking like he's lacking belief in his own ability tbh. We need to start taking more risks in attack.

"Kante isn't technical enough"
Me pretty much every game since: "So that was a lie"#CFC #WOLCHE

Kanté really took the critics to heart, he’s been putting in World Class performances for a while now.

There are 7 Kanté’s out there. There must be.

Kante is back to being everywhere. There is no one better than him when he plays in his natural position. Glad, Lampard realised it this season. #WOLCHE
