Branislav Ivanovic says Frank Lampard will be ‘a success’ at Chelsea and with England

Frank Lampard continues to be doubted by a very small section of online Chelsea fans, and the hate as usual, is just plain odd.

He is into his second season as Chelsea boss and you can really start to see his squad taking shape and growing an identity.

Chelsea insider reveals all the January and summer transfer information you need to hear – Full story HERE.

The signings that Lampard himself asked for and convinced to join him, are really starting to click together and the team are in a fantastic run of form.

Lampard stuttered at times last season, but that is natural for any new manager, or any old manager for that matter. He feels like the perfect fit for the long term success of Chelsea.

But don’t take my word for it, listen to a current professional footballer who knows Lampard very well and has played at the top level for many years now – Branislav Ivanovic.

The former Chelsea player has been giving his thoughts on Lampard as a manager, and not only does he know he will be successful at Chelsea, but he thinks he can become England manager as well.

As reported by Goal, Ivanovic said:

“When Frank decided to become a manager, everyone who knows him knew he was going to be a success.

“He is the right person in the right place, not just for Chelsea. I hope he will stay at Chelsea for life, but for sure he could give to his country and be manager of the England national team.

“He knows football and has great ideas. I watch his interviews and you can see he understands the game, the things he needs to do and how to give belief to the group.

“It’s a massive job to understand football and to make the team play and work like you want. He has a good group of people around him to help him. He will be a success.

“He fully deserved to be Chelsea manager, not just because of his name. Of course I wish him all the best and for me he will always have a huge part [to play].”
