Chelsea are top of the Premier League table. This is not a drill.
There are other teams that can go above us later today and in tomorrow’s games, but every time we string another win together we see the gaps behind us stretch further.
Manager Frank Lampard is keeping his head on straight though – he said he’s “not going to get excited” despite his team’s position at the top of the table for now.
He’s always calm and level headed, and he knows that going top for a few hours in November means nothing. It’s what happens in May that counts.

"I'm not going to get excited about being top of the table for five minutes.
"It's time to stay humble and know it's a long race."
