According to Spanish paper La Razon, Real Madrid are interested in two Villareal players, one of whom is also a target for Chelsea.
Centre back Pau Torres has been emerging as a top La Liga talent for a long time, and it’s perhaps surprising that the Blues haven’t been linked with him before given their need in that position; but it’s his teammate Samuel Chukwueze who is apparently still on our list.
The wealth of talent Chelsea have in the wide positions at the moment make any bid for an attacker in that position sound pretty unlikely, but given the constant rumours we’ve heard over the last couple of years there is almost certainly some existing interest.
The piece seems like it’s just trying to hype up as much interest as possible – Everton, Man United, Liverpool, Wolves and Leicester are also mentioned as possible destinations.
But beyond that there’s not much detail, and we think it’s likely just rumour writers trying to name some big clubs in headlines.
