The BT Sport clip below is geo-locked to the UK only, but the point Joe Cole is making is evident just from the stats in the Tweet that accompanies it.
The pundit was speaking about how N’Golo Kante is back to his best this season, playing in his best position in front of the defence, and he pointed to his interception stats in the Premier League as evidence.
His first three years in England saw him 1st, 2nd and then 1st again in the total rankings for the English top flight.
Then under Maurizio Sarri he plunged to 17th in a new role, and he only recovered to 15th last season.
This campaign, so far, he’s back in first.
You can see former Blue Cole explain in more detail in the clip embedded here:
N'Golo Kanté interceptions:
15/16 – 1st
16/17 – 2nd
17/18 – 1st
18/19 – 17th
19/20 – 15th
20/21 – 1st"He's back to the player he was! He's definitely the best in the world in that position."

The team looks so much stronger with Kante doing his thing, and there’s no doubting that we’re back to getting the best from the central midfielder now.
