Inter “would win” Serie A with N’Golo Kante says former president

N’Golo Kante is heading towards 30, and after a successful spell with Chelsea, inevitably the rumours about him moving on are starting to stack up.

Perhaps it’s no surprise when you have quotes like this floating around from important people.

Former Inter president Massimo Moratti, who oversaw a spate of titles in the 2000s before handing over the club to new investors, has been speaking about the team in its current form under Antonio Conte.

Moratti says they’re close to winning the title again – so close, in fact, that a couple of signings could make all the difference.

“[New owners] Suning want to stay for a long time and invest to achieve important results. I think that will Kante and Koulibably the team would win the Scudetto,” the administrator was quoted as saying on Goal.com.

He’s probably got a point. The Nerazzuri came very close last time around, and adding the crazy speed and energy of Kante in a slow and sluggish league like Serie A might just tip the scales in their favour.

They will be hard pressed to get Chelsea to sell, but as the Frenchman passes 30, their chances will only increase.
