Living in our Chelsea focused, UK based bubble, it’s always interesting to see what the media in other countries think of our players and performances.
L’Equipe’s ratings are famously harsh, and despite Chelsea’s win last night they did’t make much of the performances.
Hakim Ziyech and Mason Mount were particularly criticised, with a 4 for Ziyech and a 3 for Mount in the end.
That seems a little harsh, both were really just conserving energy for most of the game, once the result wasn’t in doubt, although it’s true that other players shone more.
