Hudson-Odoi, Silva, and Emerson start – Predicted Chelsea Xl to face Rennes

Chelsea return to Champions League action tonight facing up against Rennes over in France.

Frank Lampard has a few key squad decisions to make with some players returning, and others showing signs of fatigue after another busy international break.

Kai Havertz and Thiago Silva are both back in the squad, and the latter could come back in to the starting eleven. Havertz has a chance of starting as well, but I believe he will more likely feature off the bench.

Timo Werner is one of those that has looked tired in recent matches so it might be wise to start Callum Hudson-Odoi over the German international tonight, whilst there will also be a decision to make in midfield over whether he rests N’Golo Kante or Mason Mount, or none at all.

Ben Chilwell has been struggling with a slight back issue co could also take a rest.

Every game is important right now, so Lampard will be going all out for the win.

Predicted Chelsea Line up –

(4-3-3) – Mendy, James, Silva, Zouma, Emerson. Kante, Kovacic, Mount. Hudson-Odoi, Abraham, Ziyech.
